I covered the launch of the Ghost 17 back in May, which iterated on the signature cushioning of the Ghost 16—our editors’ all-time favorite Brooks running shoe. If you don’t mind an older model, the 16 still holds up well, and costs a whole lot less, especially at under $100. They certainly make for a gentle ride and represent a staple of modern, Brooks-designed comfort. The waterproof version, the Ghost 16 GTX Waterproof, is also nearly 25 percent off, and represents a more durable, weatherproof shoe that performs well in all sorts of outdoor terrain.
My favorite Brooks shoe for recovery runs, the Ghost Max 2, is also almost 30 percent off. It features more forefoot cushion and offers the same tried-and-true support of the standard Ghost line.
