Bouygues UK was selected as preferred tenderer in November 2025, and has been working since with NHFP to to finalise commercial terms and prepare for the commencement of construction.
The Overdale Acute Hospital will be a modern, purpose-built facility with an internal gross floor area of 47,500m², featuring an emergency department, six operating theatres, inpatient beds, critical care beds, and a dedicated women’s and children’s centre.
As lead contractor, Bouygues UK will now oversee the delivery of the project, drawing on its extensive experience in healthcare construction and its proven ability to manage the unique logistical challenges presented by Jersey’s island location.
Bouygues UK says it is now positioned to implement mobilisation plans and commence the main construction works.
