Boris Johnson puts Jeremy Clarkson on the ‘naughty list’ and mocks Emily Maitlis in Christmas advert
A promotional advert for Boris Johnson’s book sees the former Prime Minister mocking Emily Maitlis and putting Jeremy Clarkson on the ‘naughty list’ as he dishes out copies.
The ex-PM praises the former Top Gear star for his work in publicising the plight of farmers up and down the country, but took umbrage with his decision to “publicly gloat” about knocking Johnson off the number one spot in the book charts.
He makes reference to a blunder by Emily Maitlis in October which led to the cancellation of a scheduled interview with the BBC.
The presenter accidentally sent briefing notes to the prime minister – a gesture which resulted in her placement on Boris Johnson’s ‘nice list’.
