Heidi Klum Halloween costumes are the best celebrity Halloween costumes, hands down. This is just a fact. The supermodel is the queen of Halloween, offering up intricate, memorable costumes year after year. And every Heidi Klum Halloween outfit usually comes with a legendary Heidi Klum Halloween party (2020 and 2021 are the exceptions, because of the COVID-19 pandemic).
But Halloween bash or not, the Heidi Klum Halloween costumes over the years are showstopping. Remember when she was Lady Godiva in 2001? Or Jessica Rabbit in 2015? Or the scariest alien you’ve ever seen in 2019? I still have nightmares about that.
So what did Heidi Klum do for Halloween this year?
After last year’s E.T. costume, Heidi Klum ditched the extra terrestrial for the mythological. Specifically, she went as an even more reptilian version of Medusa. In most versions of the Greek mythology, Medusa is a beautiful woman that was cursed by the goddess Athena with a head of snakes instead of hair and the horrible ability to turn people to stone with just one look. Heidi’s version, however, goes full snake monster with some support from her statuesque husband, Tom Kaulitz, who dressed as a soldier frozen in stone.

Though Klum sat in the makeup chair for nine hours to fulfill her reptilian fantasies, the highlight of her costume were the mechanical snakes on her head. “I love that all of the snakes move independently—they look so real,” Klum told Vogue. “I also have a custom split snake tongue that is just next level. I love a challenge, so I am always striving to outdo myself from the years before.”

Camouflage (2020)
Since Halloween looked a little different in 2020, so did Klum. Forgoing her traditional October 31 bash due to the pandemic, she starred in a mini horror film with her family. In it, her kids are transformed into mummies after being wrapped in toilet paper (hoarded back in March, of course), so Klum hides from them by using elaborate body paint and blending in first with the wall and then with her bed. Gotta admit it, she makes a sexy corkboard.

Mom of the Dead (2021)
Zombie Heidi rose from the dead for Halloween 2021, ready to exact revenge on her children after last year’s murder. The short has plenty of tributes to iconic horror films, from a Psycho shower to a “Here’s Mommy!” Shining homage. There’s even a scene with projectile vomit from The Exorcist. Don’t watch this one on a full stomach.
