When is Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025? Yes, it’s nearly Geoff o’clock again, as Mr. Keighley’s mid-year showcase kicks off the huge German video game expo once more. You can expect plenty of game announcements and updates during Opening Night Live, including many titles heading to PS5. But when is the show itself being broadcast? Below, we have all the details you need.

Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 takes place on Tuesday, 19th August 2025, broadcast live from Cologne, Germany. Here’s the start time for the show in various global regions:
- North America: 11am PDT / 12pm MDT / 1pm CDT / 2pm EDT
- UK/Ire: 7pm BST
- Europe: 8pm CEST / 9pm EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 3am (Wed) JST / 2am (Wed) AWST / 4am (Wed) AEST
The show will be available to watch live on YouTube and Twitch. You can also join us right here on Push Square, as we’ll be hosting a page where you can watch Gamescom Opening Night Live with our community, joining in with live chat.
If you can’t tune into the show as it goes out, rest assured that any and all news pertinent to PS5 and PS4 users will be reported on here so you can catch up.
Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 will be about two hours long, according to Geoff Keighley himself. It’s currently not known if there will be a pre-show, but typically there is a half-hour opener where some smaller announcements are made, so factor that in as well just in case.
Geoff Keighley, as well as publishers and developers themselves, usually announce a handful of games that’ll be present during the showcase, and thus far, here’s what we know is showing up:

- Next Resident Evil Requiem Reveal at Gamescom 2025 Showcase
- Action RPG Lords of the Fallen 2 Reveal Confirmed for Next Week

We will add more to this page as other games are revealed.
We can make some educated guesses as to what might appear. We wouldn’t be at all surprised to see updates on games launching in the near future, such as Lost Soul Aside, Hell Is Us, Borderlands 4, Dying Light: The Beast, and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. This is pure speculation, but again, promoting upcoming titles during the show is very likely.
