Bringing out the big guns
Saber Interactive and 3D Realms have announced a release date for their upcoming reimagining of a classic first-person shooter, Painkiller.
The fast-paced FPS is dropping onto PS5 on 9th October 2025, and alongside this announcement came a brand new trailer, showing off pre-order bonuses and some new gameplay:
The original Painkiller was developed by People Can Fly, more recently known for games like Bulletstorm and Outriders.
This game is a sort-of reboot, though it carries across some familiar settings and mechanics from the original series.
Playable solo or in co-op, you’re fighting your way through Purgatory using a series of powerful weapons, each with primary and secondary modes.
Pre-orders are live now on PS Store, where the standard edition of the game is listed for £34.99/$39.99.
