Despite the top prize going unclaimed, there is still cause for celebration for thousands of players.

Those dreams have been put on hold as no player in Europe managed to select the correct combination of numbers.

Players across Ireland are now being urged to check their tickets to see if they are among the thousands who won prizes.

It proved to be a particularly heartbreaking night for three EuroMillions players from across the continent, with the unlucky players coming agonisingly close to bagging the massive sum, missing out on the €130million prize by just one number.

The numbers called in Friday’s main EuroMillions draw were: 06, 10, 27, 32, 48 with Lucky Stars 03 and 08.
