Marks & Spencer brings back ‘epic’ Camembert treat for Christmas and shoppers are calling it ‘fabulous’

Marks & Spencer has brought back its viral cheese wreath to stores for the festive season and shoppers are thrilled.

The popular garlic bread twist, which features a whole Camembert centre, has a highly anticipated return following its status as a smash hit during Christmas 2022.

The creation, described by M&S as a “garlicky, buttery, creamy, oozy delight”, prompted shoppers to rush to stores when it first launched last year.

The must-have Christmas item “hot cheese superfans” into a frenzy during its debut season.

The cheese wreath requires just 14 minutes of oven baking to achieve the perfect melted consistency. Once baked, it offers what M&S calls “the most immense tear and share experience”.

What’s more, it can serve as both a festive starter and a buffet centrepiece.

Customers can find the seasonal favourite in their local M&S Foodhall or purchase it through Ocado.

News of the cheese return has already made the rounds on social media, with one Instagram user declaring: “Omg!! I’ve got to get this”

Another user echoed: “I am absolutely getting a few of these”

A third person followed: “I so need this in my life, for about the 10mins it’ll take to devour.”

One lucky shopper who has already got their hands on the treat, confirmed: “It’s fabulous had it today.”

Another commentator shared: “We had this last night it’s EPIC with your cranberry sauce as well.”

The return of this sharing-focused dish comes as retailers prepare for the holiday entertaining season.

M&S Foodhall recently introduced a luxurious loaded mashed potato dish combining creamy textures with indulgent ingredients for a special accompaniment to festive meals.

The mash is also generously loaded with premium Barbers Cheddar cheese, adding a sophisticated depth of flavour.

For an extra luxurious touch, the mash is studded with maple-cured smoked bacon pieces and topped with sweet caramelised onions.
