‘How did you know my exact order?’ Greggs launches its Christmas menu but not all customers are convinced
Greggs has unveiled its set of Christmas menus, with Nigella Lawson helping the festive launch.
The Christmas menu features both traditional and vegan options to cater to all customers but not everyone is satisfied with the selection that the food chain has released.
Lawson described the treats as “a rapturous riot of flavour,” lending her seal of approval to the food.
Yet one customer wrote online: “The festive bake is different from last year? It’s not as good as I remember.”
Another added: “Nothing is festive anymore… give us back the oat milk please.”
Some commenters disagreed though with one of them writing: “I’d give vital organs for the festive selection at Greggs.”
Another wrote: “So many choices, too little time.” One commenter said: “Trying to get my hands on the baguette for days now!”
Some of the items on the menu are The Vegan Festive Bake with a new recipe, including Quorn pieces, sage & onion stuffing balls, vegan bacon, with cranberry & red onion sauce.
The bakery’s festive menu has an array of sweet treats, including the Christmas Mini Caramel Shortbread, described by the retailer as a crumbly biscuit topped with caramel and white chocolate.
Sweet-toothed customers can purchase the new Chocolate & Hazelnut Flavour Doughnut, which has white chocolate icing and honeycomb pieces.
A Christmas Bun rounds out the selection, which features vanilla flavour and festive sugar paste decorations.
