Donald Trump adviser slams political class as Joe Biden trashes MAGA voters: ‘Huge disconnect’

Donald Trump campaign adviser Bryan Lanza has hit out at the political class after Joe Biden’s disparaging remarks about supporters of the Republican candidate.

He joined Jacob Rees-Mogg on GBN America to discuss the US president sparking uproar earlier this week by appearing to call Trump’s supporters “garbage”.

The outgoing president was responding to a comic who referred to Puerto Rico as an “island of garbage” during a routine at a Trump rally on Sunday.

“There’s a huge disconnect between the political elite and the vast majority of the country”, said Lanza.

“That’s what President Trump appeals to. I think one of the best terms that I have heard somebody say is, ‘he’s the Molotov cocktail that people can throw at Washington and burn it down and disrupt it so they could finally start working for them’.

“For the last 50 years, they haven’t felt like it is working for them at all. He’s therefore cutting through to voters, but he terrifies the establishment.

“Not just always the left, but also the Republican establishment too.”

Trump has often prided himself as being a man of the people and some campaign stunts have been geared towards building that image.

He recently visited a McDonald’s restaurant in Pennsylvania, where he appeared to work behind a fry station before greeting customers at a drive-thru window.

Lanza compared Trump to past Republican presidential candidates, saying his willingness to embrace the people is more clear.

“He’s going to where these minority voters are and these young voters are, that’s never happened in the Republican Party”, he said.

“Could you imagine Mitt Romney working behind counters at a McDonald’s? Could you imagine John McCain riding a garbage truck? They just don’t get it.

“They’re disconnected, they’re the political class. They look down at everybody else. Donald Trump doesn’t look down to them, he looks straight at them. That is why he is so clever.”

Kamala Harris has welcomed the backing of a slew of celebrities as both candidates rapidly approach the finish line neck and neck.

Madonna endorsed the vice president in the US election as Americans cast their vote at the ballot boxes ahead of the November 5 poll.

The US star, regarded as the Queen of Pop, revealed she returned home to the US following a trip to Paris to vote for the Democratic presidential nominee.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift added her support last month, describing the current vice president as a “steady-handed, gifted leader”.

Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger said he will back Harris in the election despite saying: “I don’t like either party right now.”

The former Republican governor of California said his party’s candidate, former US president Donald Trump, would “divide”, “insult” and “find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been”.

Friends star Jennifer Aniston confirmed she had voted for Harris to “end this era of fear, chaos and the attacks on our democracy” while encouraging fans that “your vote matters”.
