McDonald’s restaurant that hosted Donald Trump suffers major blow as trolls review bomb venue
Donald Trump’s recent campaign photo op at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s has sparked a flurry of satirical reviews on Yelp by online trolls.
The Republican nominee briefly worked the fry station and drive-through window at the Feasterville-Trevose restaurant on Sunday.
In response, internet pranksters have targeted the venue with mock negative reviews, poking fun at the former President’s appearance and performance.
One reviewer, gave a one-star rating, writing: “Customer service was a joke.
“Senile old man got bronzer on my fries, didn’t wear gloves.”
Another reviewer, alluded to Trump’s legal troubles, stating: “The atmosphere was creepy with a convicted felon … behind the counter.”
A third claimed his fries had “a long strand of disgusting yellow hair among them” whilst a “creepy old man” offered “hush money” to keep quiet.
One more posted a photo of Trump, alleging a violation of Pennsylvania food hygiene codes for not wearing proper hair covering.
Following the review bombing incident, Yelp has taken action by temporarily disabling new comments on the restaurant’s listing, citing an “unusual activity alert”.
A pop-up message on the page states: “This business recently received increased public attention, which often means people come to this page to post their views on the news.”
Yelp is now investigating whether the content reflects “actual consumer experiences rather than the recent events”.
Following the incident, McDonald’s has clarified its position on hosting political candidates.

In a message to employees, the company stated: “McDonald’s does not endorse candidates for elected office and that remains true in this race for the next President.
“We are not red or blue – we are golden.”
The fast-food giant emphasised that it agreed to Trump’s visit based on its core value of opening doors to everyone.
McDonald’s also revealed that franchisees have invited Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz, to their restaurants.
The company sidestepped the controversy surrounding Harris’s claims of working at McDonald’s during her college years, which Trump has disputed without evidence.
This incident is not the first time a venue has been targeted after hosting a political candidate.
A Penzeys Spices store visited by Kamala Harris in Pittsburgh last month faced similar review bombing.
