Jake Paul reveals Mike Tyson’s stance on £3.8m bet as blockbuster boxing clash creeps closer

Jake Paul has revealed Mike Tyson is yet to respond to his £3.8million bet offer as their blockbuster boxing bout creeps closer.

The pair are currently preparing for the showdown, which will take place in Arlington, Texas, on November 15.

Recently, Paul challenged Tyson. The 27-year-old took to social media to say that he was offering £3.8m to his rival, providing he’s able to last more than four rounds.

If Tyson accepts, he’ll get the cash. But if he fails to come out on top, and the bout is over quickly, then he has to get a tattoo that says ‘I love Jake Paul’.

Paul, spekaing to Sports Illustrated, believes he’ll be able to come out on top – despite the fact he’s facing one of the biggest names in boxing history.

And he also revealed his upcoming opponent had so far ignored his huge financial offer, too.

“I think I TKO or KO him in rounds four or five,” said the youngster, who has won 10 of his 11 professional bouts so far.

“But yeah, he hasn’t responded to the bet and I don’t think he probably will.

“I think he’s locked in, in war mode.

“He just wants to train and be a savage.”

Some boxing fans have mocked Paul’s training videos, with the 27-year-old regularly updating fans on social media.

Yet the American is confident in his own ability and believes they’ve done everything possible to ensure he can come out on top.

“It’s been going amazing. Intense camp. I’m sparring 300lb guys back-to-back,” he continued.

“So my body is aching; my bones are sore. They punch a lot harder, and just wrestling with them in the ring and sparring is very difficult, but on November 15, I’m going to be prepared.

“We’ve trained hard to make the fight easy.”

Tyson, meanwhile, has raised eyebrows with his decision to fight Paul.

The 58-year-old hasn’t fought since his exhibition draw with Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

Before that, Tyson’s professional career ended in disastrous fashion as he lost to Kevin McBride in 2005.

Yet Tyson, speaking to USA Today, has revealed he’s willing to fight Paul because he wants to ‘expose himself to risk’.

He said: “I could be waiting on a check every day from cannabis [Tyson owns a lucrative cannabis company in America].

“That’s (B.S.) for me. I’m a man. I want to go out there and I want to expose myself to risk.

“Sometimes I want to see who I really am. I want to see what I’m really made out of.”

He continued: “I want to perform in front of the world. To me, that’s all I ever knew how to do since I was 14.

“This fight is not going to change my life financially enough. This is just what I want to do.”
