Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fight ‘not happening’ as cancellation fears raised over controversial bout
Former two-time welterweight world champion Shawn Porter has claimed that Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s rescheduled fight will likely be cancelled for a second time – this time for good.
Paul’s latest attempts to prove himself in the boxing world has seen him call out one of the sport’s most iconic figures.
Despite the 30-year age gap between them, the fight was officially sanctioned by the Texas Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation as a professional fight with eight two-minute rounds and 14-ounce gloves.
The original fight was set to take place in the summer, but an ulcer flare-up while aboard a plane forced the date to be pushed back.
A new date for November 15 was soon agreed with Tyson and Paul coming face-to-face at a press conference just last week.
Despite all signs pointing towards the fight going ahead as planned, Porter has confidently predicted it will never happen.

“I hate to be the bearer of bad news, we’re not gonna ever see Mike Tyson get in the ring with Jake Paul,” he said.
“I don’t call the shots, I just don’t think Mike’s getting in the ring.
“I just don’t see it happening.
“It didn’t make sense, to me, even from a business standpoint.
“I feel like Mike and Jake, even to the lowest common denominator, it didn’t make sense.”
Tyson disagrees entirely as he stated during last week’s press conference that he’s ready to step back into the ring.

“It’s happening, we’re all here,” he said.
“I’m very prepared to knock out Jake Paul, I’m very prepared.
“I had a small adversity. I got sick, but I feel good. I’m just ready. I’m just ready.
