Nigel Farage hails BBC ‘mask slip’ incident after branding speech ‘inflammatory’: ‘Exposed their sheer BIAS!’
Reform UK’s Honorary President Nigel Farage has hailed the “mask slip” incident by the BBC after news presenter Geeta Guru-Murthy accused him of using “inflammatory language”.
Speaking at the Reform press conference in Dover, Nigel shared a quote from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and warned of the “wave of aggressive young males coming into Poland, having crossed the Mediterranean”.
Shortly after Guru-Murthy’s remarks were made about the “inflammatory” language, she apologised and said her actions “didn’t meet the BBC’s editorial standards on impartiality”.
Reacting to the incident on GB News, Nigel Farage was overjoyed at the incident and claimed the “mask had slipped” for the broadcaster.
Host Camilla Tominey joked that she “looked forward to an Ofcom investigation into the BBC”.
Nigel said of the incident: “Gotcha! All she did was just expose the sheer prejudice and bias that exists within the BBC.
“What was interesting was I’ve never seen the BBC in my life apologise that quickly. But remember last year, they fought me for five days over the debunking route, but I battered them and battered them and in the end they had to give in.
“So they realised, I can be a very nice friend, but I tell you what, Camilla, I’m a horrid enemy indeed.”
However, Nigel did admit he “accepts” the BBC’s apology and is “happy with it”.

Nigel told GB News: “It’s just the fact that the very comment began ‘customary inflammatory comments’, that said absolutely everything about the BBC. And really, it’s why GB News was formed three years ago.”
The Reform UK Honorary President was then pressed by Camilla on his decision to “parrot” the quote from Tusk which caused the remark by the BBC, Nigel defended his decision.
Nigel revealed: “That’s the extraordinary thing, isn’t it? I have said before, having met face-to-face these young men in the English Channel, how aggressive many of them are, I didn’t say it today.
“I quoted an EU luvvie, the former boss of the European Council, Donald Tusk. But clearly, if it comes from me, all context gets lost entirely.”
Nigel was then asked for his thoughts on Labour’s Angela Rayner’s claim that if “Labour get into power, they will recognise Palestine”.
Farage warned of the rising “sectarianism” of UK politics and told Camilla: “She is literally begging Muslim elders to say, please don’t vote for George Galloway, please vote for me. We’ll be as nasty as Israel as we possibly can be.
“How many women were in the room? None. My point is this, surely modern day British values mean that women are equal. At least I thought they did. No longer.
“Not with this new form of sectarian politics that excludes women completely. And what it goes to show is the extent to which mass immigration, lack of integration, has changed British society.”
