Integrated Indigo Crowned PR Agency of the Year at 2026 National Spokespersons Awards
Integrated Indigo Limited has emerged PR Agency of the Year at the 2026 National Spokespersons Awards, reinforcing its position as one of West Africa’s leading integrated marketing communications firms after prevailing in the most competitive edition of the awards since their inception.
The prestigious recognition was announced during the 6th National Spokespersons Awards and 4th Economic Confidential Annual Lecture, held at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja, and organised by Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), publishers of PRNigeria, Economic Confidential and Spokespersons Digest.
The award followed a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process involving 171 nominations submitted by corporate organisations, government institutions and communication agencies across Nigeria.
Chairperson of the Awards Jury, Dr. Saudat Abdulbaqi, disclosed that only 99 entries passed the initial eligibility screening before advancing to a second stage of assessment. The process was further narrowed to 42 entries, with 30 finalists eventually shortlisted across 15 categories.
She explained that the independent jury assessed entries using four key criteria—impact, innovation and originality, campaign reach, and quality of evidence—emphasising that the awards reward measurable communication outcomes rather than publicity alone.
Integrated Indigo emerged winner in the highly coveted PR Agency of the Year category, ahead of other finalists, in recognition of its outstanding contributions to strategic communication, corporate reputation management and integrated marketing communications.
Receiving the award, the company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bolaji Abimbola, described the recognition as a tribute to the dedication, creativity and professionalism of the firm’s workforce.
“This recognition means a lot to us because it reflects the work that happens behind the scenes every day,” Abimbola said.
“The Agency of the Year award is not just a title; it is an acknowledgement of the creativity, dedication and commitment of our people, as well as the confidence our clients continue to place in us. We see it as an encouragement to continue raising the bar.”
He noted that modern public relations has evolved beyond media relations into a strategic management function that supports business growth, protects corporate reputation and strengthens stakeholder confidence.
The National Spokespersons Awards have become one of Nigeria’s foremost platforms for recognising excellence in public relations, corporate communication, crisis communication, digital engagement and public affairs.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of IMPR, Alhaji Yushau A. Shuaib, said the awards were established to promote professionalism, encourage innovation and strengthen strategic communication across both the public and private sectors.
He also announced that the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has granted the National Spokespersons Awards Conference Status, elevating its profile as a globally recognised platform for communication professionals.
Industry stakeholders described Integrated Indigo’s victory as further evidence of the growing sophistication of Nigeria’s public relations and integrated marketing communications industry, with agencies increasingly delivering campaigns that meet international standards while addressing local development and corporate communication needs.
