Welcome to Snack Drop, our column where we give you the lowdown on all of the best new(ish) to market snacks that have come across our desks this month.

Vinegar Rush Potato Crisps
Snackish is a new chip brand from the founder of SmartSweets, and it won my whole team over the minute we tore into our first bag. The chips are made from a base of dried potato, potato protein, rice protein, cassava fiber, and potato starch, which means they lean more Pringles than Lays, and have an impressive eight grams of protein per serving. They’re extremely crunchy and very generously seasoned—if you’re the kind of person who’s known to fish through the bag in search of the most well-coated chips, you’ll love these. I’m partial to the Jalapeño Kick and Vinegar Rush flavors, but all five are worth a spot in your snack stash. —Alaina Chou, shopping writer

Original Cheddar Cheese Protein Crackers
I know crackers made from chicken breast sound bizarre, but hear me out. Our team has been longtime fans of Wilde’s protein chips, so I was excited to see the brand turn its signature chicken-and-egg-white base into Cheez-It-style crackers. Unlike most cheese cracker imitators I’ve tried, these actually satisfy the same craving, thanks to real cheddar and Parmesan that deliver plenty of savory, umami flavor. The Gouda variety has a surprisingly smoky richness that pairs with the chicken base, but Hot Honey has become the office favorite for its balance of sweetness and heat. I’ve caught myself absentmindedly polishing off an entire bag at my desk more than once, then immediately reaching for another flavor. —Olivia Tarantino, senior shopping editor
Little Spoon Peanut Puffs
While all of Little Spoon’s snacks proudly are marked “toddler approved,” they are also Kate- and BA team-approved. Their new peanut puffs, which come in both original peanut butter and peanut butter and strawberry variations, are our team’s current obsession. They get their peanut flavor from peanut flour and their fluffy crunch from a mixture of sorghum meal, chickpea flour, and avocado oil. Plus, I love that they’re sweetened with date powder. I might not have a toddler to feed these to, but if I did, the ingredients would pass the peanut-mom (get it?) test—and, most importantly, the puffs are simply downright delicious. —Kate Kassin, editorial operations manager
Frankie’s Organic Dill Pickle Puffcorn
Dill is without a doubt my favorite herb. Whenever there is a dill-pickle-flavored snack to be had, I’m on it. That said, I am very picky. Oftentimes the dill flavor is too artificial, or the texture of the snack gets in the way of the flavor. None of those critiques exist with Frankie’s Organic Snacks Dill Pickle Puffcorn. The nostalgic crunchy-yet-pillowy texture, mixed with the tangy snap of the dill pickle flavor, made this my new go-to snack. I also love that it doesn’t leave a wild amount of dust on your fingers. Plus, knowing that all the ingredients are organic makes every bite that much more satisfying. —Abi Lieff, executive assistant to the editor-in-chief
Hippeas Rockin’ Ranch
I need my snacks to have a satisfying crunch, and these mini puffs from Hippeas are the perfect crispy, crunchy bite. They’re super light and airy, but still packed full of flavor. The Rockin’ Ranch is a fave—savory, tangy, and herby. Made with corn, chickpea, and rice flour, they’re gluten-free; and while I wouldn’t call them a protein powerhouse, they do include two grams per serving of everyone’s favorite nutrient. —Abbey Stone, senior shopping director
Sahale Gochujang Almonds
Sahale might be just a smidge late to the gochujang trend, but fashionably so. The combination of almonds, cashews, and dried pineapple in this snack mix hits the palate sweet and finishes spicy in a way that makes me reach for another handful almost immediately upon finishing. Add in the textural blend of crunch from the nuts and chewy from the pineapple, and this has quickly become my go-to midday desk snack. —Noah Kaufman, senior shopping editor
Perfect Bar Oaties
Perfect Bars have been around for over two decades, and are beloved by many (including lots of my fellow BA staffers); but for some reason, I’ve never hopped on the bandwagon. That changed when I tried the brand’s new Oaties bars, which sub oats for the usual nut butter. The Oatmeal Cookie Dough flavor tastes like the real deal—not an oatmeal cookie-flavored protein bar, but an actual oatmeal cookie. That’s probably thanks to the fact that the bar isn’t sweetened with stevia, sugar alcohols, or monk fruit, but rather a combination of real maple syrup and honey. I’ve been keeping a stash in the office fridge for days when I forget to pack breakfast or need a post-lunch snack. —A.C.
Patagonia Bison Sticks
As an avid hiker, I almost always have some sort of meat stick stashed in my backpack. They’re one of the few trail snacks that feel substantial when I’m miles away from the nearest sandwich. After trying my fair share of jerky over the years, I assumed Patagonia Provisions’ new bison sticks would be more of the same. Instead, they’ve converted me into a bison person. Where some meat sticks can be dry, tough, or overly processed, these are remarkably tender with a satisfying snap, plus a smoky, savory flavor with just enough spice to keep each bite interesting. They’re made with responsibly raised American bison, which is a bonus, but I’d keep buying them for the taste alone. They’ve officially earned a permanent spot in my hiking pack. —O.T.
