Update []:
Well, the ever-reliable bilbill-kun has commented on this rumour, suggesting it’s a load of ol’ bunk.
He says Fnac’s product pages are placeholders because the EAN (European Article Number) codes don’t include traditional Take Two prefixes. For those who don’t know, Take Two is the company which publishes Rockstar’s games.
The aforementioned snoop surmises that the prices listed are “random”. Ultimately, it’s just another layer to this developing story, and unless an alternative retailer slips up, we’re probably just going to have to wait for confirmation from the developer itself.
The original story is included in full below.
Original Story: Portuguese retailer Fnac has potentially leaked the physical price of GTA 6, ahead of pre-orders opening on 25th June.
Its website lists five different SKUs, scheduled for release in November, under the placeholder names ‘RS1’, ‘RS2’, etc. Fans are assuming the ‘RS’ codename relates to GTA dev, Rockstar.
The options are as follows:
- RS1
- €89.99
- RS2
- €99.99
- RS3
- €109.99
- RS4
- €119.99
- RS5
- €199.99
I’m not entirely sure why there’d be five different physical options like this, so I’m sceptical of that – especially seeing as they go up in €10 denominations. I’d assume the €199.99 option would be some kind of collector’s edition, and that makes sense.

€89.99 directly translates to ~$103/£78, although it’s worth noting that currencies rarely ever convert like this, due to various factors like taxes and exchange rates.
This is the same price as Mario Kart World in Europe, though, which sells for $79.99 in the US and £74.99 (physically) in the UK. There haven’t been many games at this price point since Nintendo introduced it, but I assume GTA 6 could get away with it.
This would be roughly consistent with the price you predicted in our recent poll on the topic:

Fnac is a generally well-regarded retailer, but obviously this is just speculation until Rockstar comes out and confirms anything. One thing I’m expecting is a pricey Digital Deluxe Edition with a period of early access ahead of the game’s 19th November release date.
As alluded to above, all will be confirmed over the next few days, ahead of pre-orders going live on 25th June. I’m expecting a new trailer to drop at some point next week, along with confirmation of all the various pre-order options and their prices.
