SPRING IS TECHNICALLY here, but it hasn’t felt that way here on the East Coast, with temps swinging between weekend-long heat waves and cold, rainy days. But now that the weather is (finally!) stabilizing, we’re ready to level up our Spring wardrobe. One of our favorite activewear brands is doing a refresh of its own. Alo just dropped its Olive Tree colorway, a military green that gives off an outdoorsy vibe. The timing makes sense—the brand also dropped its new trail shoe as Alo wants you to use its gear beyond the gym.
A few of our best-tested pieces received Olive Tree treatment, including the Conquer Reform 1/4-sip, the Circuit shorts, and the Alo Triumph shirt. The deep green colorway is a departure from Alo’s typical color drops of muted neutrals. It doesn’t read very spring-like, but the hue plays well with our favorite outdoor jackets and pants.
It also helps that the colorway is very much “in” right now. I’ve come across several spring drops that highlight a similar shade (such as this new jacket from Barbour), but Olive Tree is on the darker side and fits in well with Alo’s sleek, monochrome approach to athleisure.
I got a chance to check out some of our favorites in the new colorway. The quarter-zip was a great transitional piece during last week’s 50-degree weather, but really made its mark when we got into the high 60s, and I ditched the undershirt. The Olive Tree treatment accentuated my shoulders, biceps, and chest, and the darker shade complemented Alo’s relaxed fit around the midsection. I think I could even get away with wearing the new colorway on the golf course, too.
You can shop the new colorway below, along with some more of Alo’s latest spring drops, including a brand-new line of cashmere loungewear. We haven’t gotten a chance to test the cashmere out yet, but it speaks for itself. Spring is here, indeed.
