The most unlikely of finds at a car boot sale

You don’t hear something like this every day! The GTA 4 community has been buzzing this weekend with the discovery of an unseen beta for the game, and it originates from the most unlikely of places – a car boot sale in Edinburgh.
Yes, someone took to the GTA Forums the other day to reveal how they’d paid just £5 for the Xbox 360 development kit with a “Rockstar North” label attached to it, and they found beta content for GTA IV inside of it.
The files are seemingly not very easy to dig into (at least in terms of creating a playable build), but we’re already seeing some of the unseen stuff cropping up on the likes of social media and Reddit:
Some of the other discoveries here include early character models, different radio soundtracks, a ferry model, additional weapon types, and as mentioned above, assets for what was seemingly going to be a zombie minigame that’s long been referred to as “Z Resurrection” by GTA IV fans.
It’s still early days for this beta and we assume new discoveries will continue to crop up in the weeks ahead, so we’ll circle back around if anything major gets revealed, but it’s just crazy in general that this was discovered in a £5 sale!
We’ll leave you with a little more on this discovery via the video down below.
What do you make of this? Let us know down in the comments section.
