
The official website of the Dorohedoro anime series revealed additional cast members, theme songs, and a promotional video for the second season on Sunday. The new season adapting Q Hayashida‘s action fantasy manga will premiere on April 1 at 11:00 p.m. on multiple streaming platforms worldwide.

Music group (K)NoW_NAME (Spy x Family) is performing the opening theme “Zettai MUST Danmen” with Ayaka Tachibana and ending theme “Return to Head” with NIKIIE. The opening theme is previewed in the promotional video below.
Yuuichirou Hayashi (Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season) is returning to direct the second season at MAPPA. Other returning staff include series composer Hiroshi Seko (Dandadan), character designer Tomohiro Kishi (91 Days), and music composer (K)NoW_NAME (Spy x Family).
MAPPA produced the 12-episode first season in Winter 2020. Netflix streamed the anime in Japan in January 2020 and later worldwide in May that year. The second limited edition Blu-ray bundled six short episodes in June 2020.
Hayashida originally debuted Dorohedoro in Spirits Zoukan Ikki (later renamed to Monthly Ikki) in November 2000 before switching it to HiBaNa in March 2015. The manga then transferred to Gessan in November 2017 when HiBaNa ceased publishing in August that year and ended in September 2018. Shogakukan published the 23rd and final volume in November 2018.
VIZ Media began publishing the manga digitally on its SigIkki website in 2009. The company began releasing the manga physically under its Signature imprint in March 2010 and released the 23rd and final volume in September 2019.
