Clarion Housing Group has completed the purchase of the Argenta House site at Stonebridge Park and entered into a £68.35m construction contract with JRL Group.
Designed by Assael Architecture, the project involves a 27-storey and a 30-storey building in the London Borough of Brent, delivering 180 homes for social rent and shared ownership.
Clarion originally secured planning permission in 2020 for a 24-storey scheme comprising 130 units. Two years later revived plans for 26 storeys and 141 units were approved, and Henry Construction started on site. Nine months later Henry Construction went into administration and construction stalled.
The previously stalled scheme has been revived by Argenta House (Stonebridge Park) LLP, a joint venture between Latimer, the development arm of Clarion Housing Group, and Cervidae. The JV secured new planning permission for the site and proposed a 100% affordable housing development at a location opposite Stonebridge Park Station. The new proposals increase the tower heights and number of homes on the site, including more family-sized accommodation, alongside improvements to public realm and connectivity.
Following the completion of the land purchase, Clarion has now taken full ownership of the site and appointed JRL Group as construction contractor. Work is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with completion expected in early 2030.

Richard Cook, group development officer at Clarion Housing Group, said: “Through our partnership with Cervidae, we were able to secure planning permission and establish a strong platform for delivering much-needed affordable housing at Argenta House. By now acquiring the site and moving directly into a construction contract, we are ensuring this long-stalled scheme becomes a deliverable project that will provide 180 genuinely affordable homes for Brent.
“This is about long-term stewardship as much as delivery. Taking full ownership of the site allows Clarion to ensure these homes remain affordable for generations to come. We are pleased to be working with JRL Group to bring forward a development that supports Brent’s housing ambitions and helps unlock regeneration around Stonebridge Park.”
JRL Group director Kevin Keegan said: “”We are delighted to be entrusted with the delivery of this landmark building which will provide much needed housing in a sustainable location with great transport links.”
