Independent hotel management company Trilogy Hotels has commenced operations of Peppers Gallery Hotel Canberra, a distinctive heritage boutique property located in Canberra’s vibrant New Acton precinct. The transition marks Trilogy’s continued expansion across the nation’s capital and strengthens its growing presence in Australia’s premium hotel sector.
The 80-room heritage-listed property was designed by the prominent architect John Smith Murdoch, who also designed Old Parliament House and the Hyatt Hotel Canberra. The hotel was built in 1927 to accommodate newly employed public servants for the grand opening of the first Parliament House.
The hotel will be managed by Trilogy Hotels and operate under a franchise agreement with Accor, leveraging Accor’s global distribution network and loyalty program.

The hotel features conference and meeting facilities complemented by art installations throughout both public and private spaces. The hotel is located just 300 meters from Canberra’s CBD, the Civic Centre. Guests enjoy premium amenities, including a fitness centre, library bar, and 24-hour reception, as well as close proximity to Lake Burley Griffin, the National Museum, and Canberra’s leading cultural institutions.
