How did you test flared leggings?

Glamour editors and contributors tested flared leggings from a range of brands over several weeks. We either already personally owned these leggings, reached out to brands to send them to use to test and keep in office for future testing, or bought and expensed them to our company in order to try them. We wore this leggings for a variety of tasks, including workouts, running errands, traveling, and lounging. Testers evaluated each pair’s overall comfort, compression, fit, fabric quality, and breathability. We also paid attention to practical details like inseam length, pockets, opacity, and how well each pair held up after washing and repeated wear.

How do I style flared leggings?

Mix and match with different tops to find the look that suits you best. Try styling your leggings with a fitted workout top or a crop top, maybe a longline sports bra, a tank, or a slim-fitting baby tee to balance out the flare. If it’s chilly outside, reach for your favorite leather jacket or oversized sweater to throw on top of your top. And on the days when it’s hotter out, you can simply wear a matching sports bra and head out the door.

What shoes do I wear with flared leggings?

It all depends on what activity you’re doing. If you’re heading to the gym, you can obviously pair them with your workout shoes. If you’re stepping out for yoga or Pilates, pair your leggings with sandals, or the best slippers in your closet, since shoes technically aren’t required for class. In the winter, wear your flared styles with some Ugg boots to stay warm and keep the cozy vibes going.
