The proposed 2026 Farm Bill includes several provisions for food safety.

The formal name of the bill is the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026. It is a multi-year omnibus bill and is the primary piece of legislation that governs a number of agriculture and food programs. 

The bill carries a 10-year baseline cost of roughly $1.374 trillion.
