Wetherspoon announces limited-time burger and drinks to celebrate Scottish poet
Wetherspoons pubs across Britain are set to celebrate the life and poetry of Scottish poet Robert Burns with their annual week-long festivities.
The celebration will take place at Wetherspoons establishments throughout England, Wales and Scotland, offering customers the chance to enjoy traditional Scottish cuisine and beverages.
To mark the occasion, Wetherspoons will serve two special Scottish dishes across their pubs.
The traditional offering includes haggis, neeps and tatties, a classic Scottish combination.
A Caledonian burger will feature on the menu, comprising two, three-ounce beef patties topped with haggis and whisky sauce.
The burger comes served with chips and six beer-battered onion rings.
Customers can choose from a wide variety of Scottish beverages during the celebration.
The featured guest ale is Inveralmond Ossian, a 4.1 per cent ABV golden beer known for its hoppy, citrus aroma and malty backbone.
Scottish single-malt whiskies Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie will be available, alongside The Famous Grouse and Bells whisky.
The drinks menu also includes BrewDog’s Elvis Juice and Hazy Jane craft beers, plus Hendricks Gin and Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger liqueur.
The pub chain’s Burns Week 2025 will run from January 22 through to January 28 with Burns Night itself falling on January 25.
