Penny Mordaunt claims Labour ‘would take the UK back into the single market’

Penny Mordaunt has claimed that Labour would take the UK “back into the single market”, after Deputy leader Angela Rayner said they would “never rejoin”.

Mordaunt told the ITV debate: “If you have a Labour government they will take you back in, they will tie you on defence, legislation, economy without any of the benefit.”

Stephen Flynn and Rhun ap Iorwerth said they would rejoin the European Union.
