Kelly Osbourne blasts ‘really disturbing’ celebrities using LA fires as ‘photo ops’: ‘Go home!’

Kelly Osbourne has launched a blistering attack on celebrities who she claims are using the devastating Los Angeles fires as photo opportunities.

The 40-year-old daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne took to social media to condemn stars exploiting the catastrophe.

The Los Angeles fires have claimed 25 lives, with officials now confirming that more than 12,000 structures have been destroyed.

Over six million residents remain under a critical fire threat as firefighters battle four different wildfires across 38,690 acres.

The economic impact is estimated to reach between £135billion and £150billion in damages and losses.

Many celebrities, such as veteran 87-year-old Welsh actor Sir Anthony Hopkins, have also lost their homes in the blazes.

Amidst the swirling coverage of the events, the MailOnline reports that Osbourne took to social media to share her thoughts on how some celebs were reacting.

Speaking in a video, she asked fans if she was “being my usual cynical self”.

She also asked if others found it “really disturbing” to see “celebrities using other people’s pain and suffering as a photo op to say I’m helping, I’m doing this, I’m doing that”.

The TV personality offered an olive branch to altruistic celebs, adding: “I don’t believe you help because you get attention for helping, I believe you help because you want to.”

One celeb who appears to be doing her bit regardless of appearances is actress Eva Longoria who pledged $1million to support victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.

The donation, part of her $50million Bezos Courage and Civility Award, will aid the Latino Community Foundation and California Community Foundations wildlife recovery fund.

Longoria, who was temporarily evacuated from her own home, has also donated clothes and emptied her pantry to help those affected.

“A lot of people weren’t so lucky,” the Desperate Housewives star said in her own Instagram video.

Leonardo DiCaprio appears to have gone the other way, choosing instead to flee the sunshine state for Mexico.

DiCaprio touched down in Cabo San Lucas last Friday, accompanied by his 26-year-old girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, his father George DiCaprio and George’s wife Peggy Ann Farrar.
