“We’re a society of people addicted to power, to status, to money, to having more, to holidays, to the news, to complaining, to misery, to anger and to endlessly doom-scrolling on our phones.

“Of course, people want to kick a lot of these addictions but without something else to replace the hole these addictions leave, they often come back to them.”
