Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend twists the knife after Kansas City Chiefs lose Super Bowl
Kayla Nicole, the ex-girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, appeared to troll her former partner during Sunday’s Super Bowl defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nicole took to Instagram Stories to show her support for the Eagles, who triumphed 40-22 over the Chiefs in New Orleans.
The influencer shared multiple posts of herself amongst Eagles supporters, making her allegiance clear through a series of pointed social media updates.
Despite her previous statements about avoiding relationship drama online, Nicole seemed to relish the opportunity to publicly back her ex-boyfriend’s opponents during the championship game.
Nicole was captured singing “Fly, Eagles, Fly” alongside fashion influencer Chrysty Gaither in one of her Stories, appearing to mock herself whilst trying to remember the lyrics.
The social media star made an “Eagles” hand sign and added a suggestive caption asking “Where’s the bandwagon emoji?”
In a subsequent post, Nicole shared a slow-motion video of herself blowing confetti in Eagles colours on the field.

“They said there’s room on the wagon yall,” she wrote alongside the celebratory footage.
Her playful demeanour and seemingly pointed captions suggested a deliberate attempt to draw attention to her support for the Chiefs’ opponents.
Nicole’s choice of music for her confetti video raised further eyebrows, as she used Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” as the soundtrack.

Whilst the song selection could have been a nod to the evening’s performer, its reputation as a renowned diss track added another layer of intrigue to her posts.
The timing and nature of Nicole’s social media activity marked a departure from her previously stated stance on public drama.
She had notably struggled with attention following her split from Kelce, even confirming on “Special Forces” that she wasn’t over the breakup.

In April 2024, Nicole had directly addressed drama with Taylor Swift fans on X, stating: “I’m unproblematic. Mind my business. Never respond to the constant vitriol … Just know everyone has a breaking point & would love for ‘yall’ to leave me alone.”
She later emphasised her stance on social media drama in another X post, writing: “My only advice is to keep your private matters off the internet. You will never win in the court of public opinion nor does it matter.”
Meanwhile, Kelce admitted he was hurt by the defeat.
“[We] couldnt get it going offensively,” said the tight end.
He then added: “I mean, they just got after us on all three phases and then on top of that, you know, turnovers, penalties, playing behind the sticks on offense.
“We haven’t played that bad all year. You don’t lose like that without everything going bad.”
