“We had a signed contract to fight,” Paul stated in the video. “Here you can see Canelo’s signature and my signature to the right.”

Paul accused Canelo of avoiding legitimate competition, stating: “Claiming he’s fighting real fighters, but he’s fighting [Terence] Crawford, a 135-pound fighter, and running from a real fighter like David Benavidez. You b***h.”

Paul further accused Canelo of being swayed by financial incentives from Saudi Arabia.

“The truth is, you can be bought,” Paul declared. “You’re a money-hungry squirrel chasing your next nut.”

He specifically targeted the Saudi involvement, adding: “These sports-washing, shady characters are paying you hundreds of millions of dollars to stop our fight from happening.”

Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, reportedly threatened to withdraw his offer if Canelo proceeded with the Paul fight.

Canelo has firmly dismissed Paul’s accusations in comments to Ring Magazine.

“Hey guys, don’t pay attention to anything [from] this f***ing YouTuber,” Canelo stated. “I just fight real fighters… no f***ing around with Canelo! Come on – Let’s go!”

The Mexican champion is now expected to compete in Saudi Arabia in May, followed by a September clash with Crawford in Las Vegas.
