TUI returns to UK airport after 15 years with new weekly flights to Spain

TUI Airways is set to make a return to Southampton Airport after a 15-year absence.

The airline will offer weekly flights to Palma De Majorca from May to September 2025, catering to holidaymakers and cruise enthusiasts alike.

This new service aligns with Marella Cruises’ summer programme, providing a seamless connection for travellers embarking on Mediterranean adventures.

The flights will operate every Tuesday from May 27 to September 20, 2025, offering sun-seekers direct access to Majorca’s sandy beaches and cultural attractions.

Marella Cruises’ Mediterranean itineraries aboard Marella Discovery will depart from Palma, Majorca.

The ‘Cosmopolitan Classics’ route includes stops at Cagliari, Sardinia; Naples, Italy (for Pompeii and Capri); Piombino, Italy (for Siena and Pisa); Villefranche, France (for Monaco and Nice); and Palamos, Spain.

These sailings offer passengers the opportunity to explore diverse destinations across the Mediterranean.

From historic Italian cities to glamorous French Riviera hotspots, the itinerary promises a rich cultural experience.

The new TUI Airways flight from Southampton provides a convenient gateway for cruise enthusiasts in the Hampshire region to access these exciting voyages.

TUI UK’s director of aviation planning Karen Switzer commented: “We are extremely excited to return to Southampton Airport to reconnect travellers with the vibrant corner of the world that is Palma.

“We understand how important it is for customers to have access to flights from their local airports, and this latest addition brings the number of regional airport that TUI Airways fly from to 24.

“We look forward to welcoming customers on board from May next year and taking them away on their dream Majorcan holiday.”
