Virgin Media users can save over £500 with latest sale on full-fibre broadband and Sky TV channels

Virgin Media has launched its latest sale, with price cuts of up to £504 available for new and returning customers on broadband and telly bundles. If you missed out on the Black Friday sales last month, this is the next best opportunity to slash the cost of your home internet.

If you want to secure the biggest discount on offer, look no further than the Biggest Combo bundle.

With this all-singing, all-dancing package, you’ll take delivery of a Virgin TV 360 set-top box with all Sky Sports and Sky Cinema channels to watch in High Definition (HD) alongside over 210 other paid-for and free-to-watch channels. If that isn’t enough to keep you occupied, there’s also a Netflix subscription included. If you’re an existing Netflix viewer, you can carry over your profile and let Virgin Media settle the bill each month.

When it comes to internet speed, Virgin Media offers two pre-built versions of its Biggest Combo, with either its M500 broadband package, with average download speeds of 516Mbps, or Gig1, with faster 1,130Mbps.

Regardless of which broadband speed you choose, the Biggest Combo bundle comes with Virgin Media’s WiFi guarantee, promising minimum download speeds of 30Mbps in every room or £100 credit back.

Of course, you can customise and tweak every aspect of these packages at checkout — so you’ll be able to add more premium channels, faster broadband, landline calls, and more. Prices for the Biggest Combo start from £69 per month — a saving of £28 every single month.

Since Virgin Media offers all of its deals on a two-year contract, that means you’ll save over £500.

For a limited time, Virgin Media has waived its £35 installation fee for new and returning customers across all of these discounted packages — meaning you’ll take delivery of all of the new kit free of charge.

If you’re looking for something more affordable, Virgin Media’s Bigger Combo arrives with M350 broadband with average download speeds of 362Mbps, over 200 TV channels to watch on the included Virgin TV 360 set-top box, with the likes of Sky Showcase HD, Sky Crime HD, MTV, Eurosport, and FOX available. It costs £33 per month — down from the standard price of £39.99.

That’s a saving of £125 over the course of the two-year plan.

Enjoy download speeds of 362Mbps — that’s more than enough to stream in every room of the house without buffering. You’ll also take delivery of a Virgin TV 360 set-top box with access to over 200 TV channels, including Sky Showcase HD, Sky Crime HD, MTV, Eurosport, and FOX available. With no installation fee, you’ll save as much as £125 over the course of the two-year plan

Whatever you decide, Virgin Media’s Winter Sale is only around until February 5, 2025. If you lock-in one of these discounts, the price cut will be valid for the duration of your new 24-month contract.

If you’re looking for a fuss-free upgrade to speedy full-fibre broadband, Plusnet will pay you £50 to switch to its internet plans.

Virgin Media has its own nationwide broadband network, which is available in over 16 million homes. According to Uswitch, Virgin Media customers enjoy the highest average download speeds of all internet providers.

It’s completely separate from BT-owned Openreach, which is used by broadband suppliers like BT, EE, Sky, TalkTalk, and Plusnet to connect customers to the internet.

Switching from an Openreach-operated broadband connection to Virgin Media will become infinitely easier in the coming months as rival telecom brands have agreed to adopt a new so-called “one touch” system that will bring parity across all full-fibre networks in the UK for the first time.

Virgin Media uses a different technology, which offers download speeds of over 1,100Mbps at every address on its network. In comparison, Openreach is halfway through planned upgrades to connect millions of properties to next-generation full-fibre broadband.

Following the merger between Virgin Media and O2 back in June 2021, anyone who signs up for Virgin Media will be eligible for O2 Priority. The loyalty scheme offers discounted cinema tickets, coffees and lunch deals from the biggest high street chains, as well as early access to gig tickets.

There’s a 14-day cooling off period with all of the above deals, so you’ll be able to downgrade your bundle, tweak the fibre broadband speeds, or walk away entirely if you’re not satisfied.

Live and on-demand television will be available via the Virgin TV 360 box, the latest set-top box from the company with support for 4K Ultra HD picture quality, voice search to quickly find the show, actor or director that you’re looking for — across linear channels and libraries from your favourite streaming apps. There’s also dedicated profiles for every member of the family, so you’ll be able to separate everyone’s viewing habits and suggestions for new boxsets and films will be better tailored to individuals.

You’ll also be able to stream from the TV 360 box on up to five of your devices, using Virgin TV Go. Or add up to two additional Virgin TV Mini boxes for an extra charge, so there’s no more fighting over the remote!
