The research by credit card brand Aqua analysed various metrics including accommodation costs, popularity, rainfall and average temperatures to determine the most affordable destinations across the country.
With many Britons opting to holiday closer to home, these budget-friendly locations offer excellent value during the spring season.

The research highlights coastal destinations as particularly budget-friendly, with six seaside locations featuring in the top 10.
Plymouth, the top budget destination, is home to the historic Barbican district with its cobbled streets and maritime heritage.
Visitors can also explore Smeaton’s Tower lighthouse, offering “panoramic views of the coastline”.
