Shock crash leaves 17 injured after two buses smash into each other in Manchester

Two double-decker buses have crashed into one another in Manchester city centre, leaving at least 17 injured.

Both Bee Network buses collided along Rochdale Road near Livesey Street, although no one sustained critical injuries, according to Greater Manchester Police.

Images of the horrific crash online have depicted debris from the collision across the road.

Firefighters cut one individual out of the upper deck, while others were taken to hospital.
