Schoolboy assaulted at Sainsbury’s store as police issue urgent appeal for information
Police are urgently seeking information after a schoolboy was assaulted at a Sainsbury’s store in Dormanstown, Redcar, North Yorkshire.
The incident occurred at around 6:30pm on Friday, at the Ennis Square branch of the supermarket.
Cleveland Police have launched an investigation following reports that an adult man entered the store and assaulted one of two young people who were already inside the premises.
According to police, two youths initially entered the Sainsbury’s store on Ennis Square.
Shortly afterwards, an adult male suspect entered the premises and carried out the assault on one of the boys.
Officers are now working to identify the victim of the assault, who left the store following the incident.
The attack took place at one of the main supermarkets in Dormanstown, a suburb of Redcar.
Cleveland Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward with information.
