Ryan Reynolds brings another Hollywood A-lister to Wrexham as fans go wild
Fans on social media have gone wild after Ryan Reynolds brought Channing Tatum along for Saturday’s clash between Wrexham and Cambridge.
Reynolds is co-owner of the Welsh side and has worked wonders at the club ever since the shock takeover back in February 2021.
On Friday night, images circled showing Reynolds and Tatum in a pub in Wrexham.
Witnesses said the pair purchased drinks for those in attendance, with many shocked at seeing the pair mixing with the locals.
And Reynolds and Tatum have now attended today’s match between Wrexham and Cambridge at the Racecourse Ground.
Wrexham’s official Twitter X account uploaded a picture of the pair, saying: “Great to see you, @VancityReynolds and @channingtatum.”
The duo recently appeared in the Marvel film Deadpool and Wolverine.
Reynolds resumed his role as Wade Wilson, while Tatum debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time as Gambit.

And fans have been left delighted by the reunion, with one user saying: “Ryan Reynolds, Channing Tatum, Brandon Sklenar and Billie Joe Armstrong all in Wrexham omg!”
A second said: “Why is Channing Tatum in Wrexham that’s so funny.”
A third stated: “Three things I didn’t expect to see when I popped into Wrexham this morning: a daffodil – in December! – in St.Giles churchyard, then Ryan Reynolds and Channing Tatum on the corner of High Street. What a town.”
And a fourth said: “Canāt wait to sing āYouāre only here for the Wrexhamā to Channing Tatum.”
Meanwhile, when it comes to Marvel, it’s unclear what the future holds for Reynolds.
He has been rumoured to appear in the next Avengers film, entitled Avengers: Doomsday, that will hit the big screen in 2026.
Robert Downey Jr is poised to play Doctor Doom, while Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell will reportedly be resuming their roles as Captain America and Peggy Carter respectively.
But Reynolds recently insisted that Deadpool shouldn’t be a permanent Avengers.
“The character trait I love most about Deadpool is that heās a fanboy,” said the actor.
“His enthusiasm and longing to be part of a team is really endearing to me. Itās his overarching wish-fulfillment story.
“But I donāt think he should ever be an Avenger or an X-Man. If he becomes either, weāre at the end.ā
He continued: āI think Deadpool works so well appearing with the X-Men and Avengers, but he always needs to stay an outsider.
“His ultimate dream is to be accepted and appreciated. But he canāt be accepted.
“His coping mechanism of deflecting shame through humour works only when used to pave over his many inadequacies.ā
