Rachel Reeves accused of ‘lying’ and ‘conning’ British businesses pre-election by Piers Pottinger

Chancellor Rachel Reeves has been accused of “conning” British businesses and acting like a “con man on the run”, following her latest tax pledge.

During her appearance at the CBI conference on Monday, Reeves faced a challenging reception from business leaders, but ambitiously pledged not to increase taxes further.
