Queen Camilla is ’emotionally warn down’ after ‘frightening’ King Charles cancer diagnosis

The Queen is ’emotionally and physically warn down’ after a challenging year for Camilla and her husband King Charles, according to a royal insider.

Queen Camilla has faced one of her most challenging years as she supported the King through his cancer diagnosis, with sources revealing she was initially ‘a little frightened’ by the situation.

“He’s the love of her life, her partner, her husband of almost 20 years. Of course, she was scared,” a close friend of the Queen told the Mail.

The friend added that while the role is “lonely” Camilla remained determined to fulfil her duties whilst prioritising her “most significant role as spouse, support and chief cheerleader for him.”

Throughout the King’s hospital stays, Queen Camilla demonstrated unwavering dedication by visiting him almost daily, particularly during mealtimes to maintain his spirits.

“She makes him laugh like no one else,” a close friend revealed.

The Queen’s commitment to supporting her husband went beyond her official duties, with sources noting her careful balance of royal engagements and personal support.

“Frankly it’s a lonely enough job when there’s two of you. So you can imagine what it’s like when there’s just one of you out on the road,” the friend explained.
