Princess Beatrice joins Royal Family on Christmas Day after medical advice sparked U-turn

Princess Beatrice attended the Sandringham Christmas Day church service, joining other senior members of the Royal Family including King Charles, Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Beatrice, 36, wore a tan coat over a black dress, completing her festive ensemble with black knee-high boots.

The late Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter stepped out for the traditional service at St Mary Magdalene Church on the monarch’s Norfolk estate.

Princess Beatrice was accompanied by her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and stepson Christopher Woolf ‘Wolfie’ Mapelli Mozzi for the festive church service.

The family group embraced the seasonal spirit, with Edoardo sporting a forest green tie for the occasion.

Young Wolfie, aged eight, cut a smart figure in a grey jacket paired with navy trousers.

The Princess was joined by her immediate family, including her three-year-old daughter Sienna, as they celebrated Christmas at the Sandringham estate.

The princess’s appearance at Sandringham came after a change to her original holiday plans, following medical advice against long-distance travel during her pregnancy.

Initially, she had planned to spend Christmas with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s family overseas.

Buckingham Palace recently announced that the princess, who is in the final months of her second pregnancy, had altered these arrangements based on medical guidance.

The Palace announced in October that Princess Beatrice is expecting her second child in early spring.

While Princess Beatrice has maintained public duties, recently attending the pre-Christmas Lunch at Buckingham Palace, her Christmas plans differ from her sister’s arrangements.

Princess Eugenie, 34, is proceeding with plans to visit her husband Jack Brooksbank’s family.

Neither sister will spend Christmas Day with their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who will remain at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
