Prince Harry will not bring Archie and Lilibet to the UK despite ‘longing for his children to visit’
Prince Harry’s ongoing security dispute with the Home Office is set to reach a crucial stage, with an appeal hearing scheduled for April regarding the downgrade of his security arrangements while in the UK.
The Duke’s ability to visit Britain with his family hangs in the balance over these security concerns.
Sources close to the prince maintain that bringing his children to visit the UK is impossible without guaranteed safety measures.
“Safe visits would enable his children to know his home country and enable him to better support his charities,” a friend of the Prince told HELLO!.
The Duke is due to appear in the High Court this month in his case against News Group Newspapers.
The security dispute has further strained already tense royal family relationships.
Sources close to Harry report that his calls to the monarch regarding the security issue remain unanswered.
However, those close to the King maintain it would be “wholly inappropriate” for him to intervene in the matter.
The situation appears particularly dire regarding Harry’s relationship with his brother, the Prince of Wales.
Sources indicate the once-close brotherly bond is now “fractured almost beyond repair.”
In stark contrast to his UK challenges, Harry has embraced life in California’s Montecito.
Speaking at the New York Times’s DealBook Summit in December, Harry expressed his contentment: “I very much enjoy living here and bringing my kids up here,” adding that he views it as “the life my mum wanted for me.”
