Prince Harry continues support for LA wildfire victims following Meghan Markle’s heartfelt message
Prince Harry has continued his support for victims of the LA wildfires by attending a charity concert at The Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara on Saturday.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, was dressed in a black blazer and jeans as the father-of-two appeared engaged as he spoke with members of the police and fire departments at the One805 Rock for Responders benefit.
He was photographed warmly greeting attendees with handshakes at the event.
The devastating wildfires destroyed more than 18,000 structures and forced tens of thousands of people from their homes.
First responders have been working tirelessly to manage the crisis in the Los Angeles area.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live near Santa Barbara, approximately 90 miles from LA, with their two children.
Proceeds from the event will support the mental wellness of first responders in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, as well as musicians affected by the fires.
A highlight of the event was the auction of a guitar signed by Prince Harry and the performing artists, with the instrument reportedly sold for £6,900.
This is not the first time the Sussexes have shown support for wildfire victims as Prince Harry and Meghan have repeatedly demonstrated their commitment to supporting those affected by the natural disaster.
The couple have donated to relief efforts through their Archewell Foundation.
They also opened their £14.5million Montecito mansion to loved ones forced to evacuate their homes in January.
The charity concert comes after Meghan Markle shared a rare photo of Prince Harry and their daughter Lilibet on Instagram for International Women’s Day.
