Neighbour row boils over as family ‘break into garden and steal bin’ after filling their backyard with ‘piles of rubbish’
A woman has been left devastated after her nightmare neighbours returned to their property just weeks after she thought they had finally moved away.
The resident, who shared her ordeal on Mumsnet, had briefly enjoyed peace when the problematic neighbours appeared to leave in December.
However, her relief was short-lived as she discovered last week they had moved back in, bringing with them a return of antisocial behaviour and property disputes.
“I feel hopeless, they made my life wretched and now they are back,” the woman wrote.

The return marks a continuation of a two-year ordeal that has included property damage and various forms of harassment.
According to the woman’s account, the neighbours broke into her backyard and stole her bin, also rifling through her gardening supplies.
They allegedly broke a communal gate twice, which the woman had paid to replace.
The situation escalated when the neighbours allegedly began using her address fraudulently, setting up bank accounts, phone contracts and even claiming benefits.

“I found this out when I started getting all the debt collection letters,” she explained.
The problems extended to drainage issues, with the neighbours reportedly tampering with pipes, causing their bath water to flow into her yard.
The residents were also accused of fly-tipping and throwing bin bags into the street, while maintaining “piles of rubbish” in their backyard.
Despite reporting these issues to the council, action has been slow to materialise.
The local authority conducted an inspection and acknowledged there were “significant issues,” promising to take action.
However, nearly 20 months later, the resident claims that no meaningful intervention has occurred.
A brief respite came in December when the problematic neighbours suddenly vanished from the property.
“Tonight I saw lights on, hear shouting and see that they or other friends/family are back,” the woman reported on Mumsnet.
The return of the neighbours has reignited concerns about ongoing antisocial behaviour and property disputes in the area.
Fellow residents on Mumsnet expressed sympathy and offered advice to the distressed homeowner.
“I feel physically sick for you and am praying this will end happily for you very soon,” wrote one commenter.
Others suggested more drastic measures, with one advising: “Im sorry you are in this situation, in your place I would sell and start again elsewhere. Your mental and physical health is far more important than anything else.”
Several commenters questioned the role of the property’s management, with one asking: “Where is the landlord in all of this? They’re an absolute disgrace.”
Another resident expressed disbelief at the council’s inaction, stating: “It’s unbelievable how the council can turn a blind eye to this kind of behaviour!”
