Marks & Spencer launches limited-edition wine ‘best enjoyed before Christmas’ for just £8
Marks & Spencer Food has today launched its eagerly anticipated 2024 Beaujolais Nouveau wine across its Foodhalls nationwide.
The release marks one of the most significant dates in the wine calendar, taking place on the third Thursday of November.
This fresh and fruity red wine represents the first release of the 2024 vintage, arriving just in time to brighten up the chilly November weather.
The annual Beaujolais Nouveau release has become a cherished tradition, with wine enthusiasts eagerly awaiting its arrival each year.
The versatile red is particularly well-suited for festive gatherings, pairing perfectly with M&S party food selections.
Recommended pairings include the retailer’s Collection Duck Samosas, Mini Beef En Croutes, and Collection Extra Mature Barbers Cheddar & Ham Scones.
The wine can be enjoyed on its own or as an accompaniment to a classic cheeseboard, making it an ideal choice for holiday entertaining.
M&S Food’s in-house winemaker Sue Daniels expressed enthusiasm about the release, stating: “We know Beaujolais Nouveau has a very loyal following but we’re also hoping to encourage new wine shoppers to try this fabulously fruity red with its funky colourful label and great-value price.”
“It’s the perfect bottle to bring along to parties as it’s light, fruity and a fantastic match for all sorts of nibbles, cheese and party food, and is best enjoyed before Christmas!” she added.
The 2024 M&S Beaujolais Nouveau is now available in M&S Foodhalls across the country.
To kickstart the festive celebrations, Marks & Spencer is bringing back the classic snowball cocktail this Christmas with the launch of an exclusive-recipe Advocaat liqueur.
In a first for the drinks industry, M&S has created an Advocaat made with free-range egg yolks, offering a modern twist on the retro favourite.

For those eager to enjoy this festive tipple, M&S suggests several serving options to make the most of the drink.
The classic snowball cocktail remains a favourite way to serve Advocaat, combining the creamy liqueur with lemonade and a splash of lime juice.
For the perfect finishing touch, M&S recommends topping the snowball with a maraschino cherry.
Those preferring a simpler serve can enjoy the Advocaat simply poured over ice, allowing flavours to take centre stage.
