Liberal Democrats leader Ed Davey lashes out at ‘defeatist’ Kemi Badenoch over Net Zero statement

Liberal Democrats leader has called Kemi Badenoch a “defeatist” after she talked down Britain’s prospects of reaching its net zero target by 2050.

Speaking at a question and answer session, he took aim at the political right in the UK for its narrative on climate change.

He accused Nigel Farage’s Reform of “denying” it is happening, and said while Badenoch acknowledges its threat, she is guilty of adopting a “defeatist” attitude to it.
