Kim Kardashian slammed for ‘demonic’ Santa Baby cover as fans claim star ‘ruined Christmas’
Kim Kardashian has sparked intense reactions after releasing a surreal five-minute music video for her cover of the Christmas classic Santa Baby today.
The reality star, 44, teamed up with brother-in-law Travis Barker to produce the festive track, which features Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin as Santa Claus.
The video, released through Barker’s DTA Records, shows Kardashian crawling through a chaotic party house whilst donning a messy blonde wig and blue shirt.
Fans have been left divided over the unconventional take on Eartha Kitt’s 1953 festive hit, with some praising its creativity while others have branded it “demonic”.
In the video, Kardashian crawls through various surreal Christmas scenarios, singing “Santa baby, just slip a Sable under the tree for me” as businessmen make calls beside a donkey in a doorway.
The footage, styled like old VHS recordings with pixelated clips, shows her navigating past plumbers and encountering women playing Twister in their underwear.
The chaotic scenes escalate to include a man dressed as Jesus wearing a crown of thorns whilst searching a fridge, alongside shots of a lit nativity scene.
A woman is seen destroying a Christmas tree by chopping off its branches, while money is swept across the floor with a broom.
Fan reactions on social media have been fiercely divided, with many expressing horror at the unconventional Christmas offering.
“What in the methamphetamine Christmas blasphemy is this,” wrote one Instagram user as another commented: “I think I just watched Kim crawl through a crackhouse.”
Others questioned whether the video had “demonic vibes”, with some fans claiming Kardashian had “ruined Christmas”.
However, one supporter praised her for “consistently challenging the status quo”, leaving another to add it was “pure genius”.
The stars sister Khloe Kardashian showed her support, commenting “Come on Santa!!” on the post.
The video was directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis, with production handled by Travis Barker.
The festive track has been released through Barker’s DTA Records and Kardashian’s company Kimsaprincess Inc.
The song is now available to stream on both Apple Music and Spotify.
