Jake Paul’s girlfriend explains disadvantage boxing star has ahead of Mike Tyson fight
Ahead of Jake Paul’s titanic boxing battle against Mike Tyson next Friday, his girlfriend Jutta Leerdam has expressed her worries over her beau’s bout.
Paul will enter the ring to fight Tyson on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in what will be his biggest match-up yet.
Despite having lost to Tommy Fury in 2023, the only other time the YouTuber has faced a professional boxer, Paul, 27, is the slight favourite due to the huge age-gap between him and Tyson.
The 31-year age-gap, the biggest in professional boxing history, has been criticised but Leerdam has revealed her fears on her boyfriend facing one of the greatest boxers of all time.
“I think you’re gonna win, but, he’s the competitor that is the most scary to me,” Leerdam told Paul on his YouTube channel. “Yeah, he’s scary.
“He’s just scary. He’s super strong, and I’ve seen videos of him.
“Of course he’s a little bit older now, but if you’ve ever been able to do that, your body remembers that. He has that power forever.”
While many consider Paul’s age to be a huge advantage to him ahead of his battle against the 58-year-old Tyson, Leerdam explained it could work against him.
“One thing about Jake is he’s been doing this for, like, 5 years… I think that is worse,” she said.

“I think that is worse than being, like, almost 60 and having your whole life [boxing]. You’re used to that power.
“You’ve trained so much. Your body will remember that. He’s had so many years of training.
“Jake didn’t even train like 5 years ago. He didn’t do anything. He was partying. So that’s not even comparable.”

Leerdam is a Dutch speed skater and competed at the Olympics in Beijing in 2022, where she won silver for the Netherlands.
The 25-year-old and Paul confirmed their relationship on April 3 in 2023, having been messaging on Instagram months before.
