‘Hamas-linked’ asylum seeker’s social media account ‘banned’ after security row erupts over Channel crossing migrant

A social media account used by the controversial Palestinian asylum seeker Abu Wadei appears to have been suspended.

GB News attempted to access the TikTok account that the young Palestinian has been using in recent weeks, but was greeted with a message saying the user had been ‘banned’.

Abu Wadei is at the centre of a security row, after allegedly posting extremist content, calling for the death of Jews.

GB News understands that he arrived in the UK in a migrant boat in the last few days.

The Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has demanded he should be arrested and removed from the UK as a matter of urgency.

The Home Office has refused to say whether the Palestinian asylum seeker had been detained.

A Home Office spokesman said: “While it is a long-standing rule that we never comment on individual cases or operational matters, the British public can be reassured that we take all steps necessary at all times to protect the nation’s security.”

They added: “We are committed to ending small boat crossings which undermine our border security, and restoring order to the asylum system to ensure that the rules are respected and enforced.”
