Further announcements about presenters and programming will be made by GB News in the New Year.
Commenting on the roles, Ben Briscoe, Head Of Programming and Talent on GB News, said: “2024 has been a truly fantastic year for us. Not only are we regularly beating the other established news channels, but we are also making inroads against the big public serving broadcaster terrestrial channels. Our initiatives will allow us to build on this success with a renewed focus and ambition.”
In November GB News, which aims to become Britain’s biggest news channel by 2028, updated its Editorial Charter. It sets out its mission to be the fearless champion of free speech, provide a voice for the nation and to help build a better Britain. Recent official figures showed GB News had overtaken Sky News for live TV viewing across one month for the first time.
According to data from broadcast audience body BARB, GB News averaged 70,430 live viewers in November looking at the 20-hour period from 6am and 2am compared to an average audience of 67,670 at Sky News.
