Emma Raducanu’s US Open opponent turned on crowd in wild x-rated rant

Emma Raducanu will face Sofia Kenin on Tuesday at the US Open – and might have her guard up because of her fiery temper.

Only in May during an Italian Open match, the heavens started to open and drizzle started to rain down on the court.

Kenin had demanded officials call off the contest but her request was refused.

It saw the 25-year-old see red, blasting the officials and the crowd in a shocking x-rated rant.

Shouting at the umpires, she scramed: “F***ing dumb a** people.”

Just seconds later with the crowd booing, Kenin turned to the fans present and yelled: “F*** you!”

As the rain continued to pour, the match officials eventually did comply and the game was stopped because of the weather.

Perhaps feeling vindicated, when play resumed, Kenin did not hold back and won the match in straight sets, beating Lucia Bronzetti 6-3 6-2.

Kenin went on to reach the final before losing to Ons Jabbeur but the 2020 Australian Open now has Raducanu in her sights.

It will be the first time the Briton has faced Kenin, who had looked like she could dominate the sport following her Grand Slam victory four years ago.

But she has struggled to live up to the hype, finding herself in a similar situation to Raducanu.

However, she has struggled since with injuries and form, as well as failing to find a coach that she has agreed with.

Though now she appears to be in her best form in a long time, finally putting her injury hell behind her that saw her miss most of last season.
