Donald Trump tipped to support Prince Harry after Melania left ‘upset and worried’
Donald Trump has been tipped to support Prince Harry by a royal commentator after Melania Trump was left “upset and worried”, according to Trump’s immigration lawyer.
A former royal correspondent has claimed the upcoming 47th US President will not act on his threats to investigate the Duke of Sussex amid his US visa battle.
Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond said: “Trump often says one thing and does the opposite.
“I understand that Trump himself is in dispute with the Heritage Foundation because it forced the release of immigration records concerning Melania’s late mother.”
She continued to tell OK!: “He’s not a fan of the organisation and may be disinclined to help it pursue its accusations over Harry’s visa.
“So that problem may have gone away.”
Melania Trump was left “upset and worried of potential security threats” after her late mother’s visa details were released as part of a lawsuit concerning Prince Harry’s immigration records, according to Trump’s immigration lawyer, Michael Wildes.
Wildes continued to tell Newsweek: “Mrs Trump is exploring all options, we spoke yesterday.
“The US government has once again not paid adequate attention to the security and safety of a former First Family.”
He added: “Mrs Trump is rightfully upset.”
The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think-tank which seeks to force the publication of Prince Harry’s immigration records, published approximately 165 pages of Amalija Knavs’ immigration papers, which were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request to the Department of Homeland Security.
Prince Harry, who moved to California in 2020, released his memoir “Spare” in 2023, where he wrote about taking recreational drugs during his younger years.
Disclosing past drug use in a US visa application, especially when applying for a green card, is required and can impact an applicant’s eligibility.
The Heritage Foundation wanted Harry’s visa documents to be made public to determine whether the Biden administration was protecting the Duke of Sussex.
The think tank subsequently sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to force the release of the Duke of Sussex’s visa records.

Trump, who has previously suggested the government had been “too gracious” to Harry and Meghan since they moved to the US in 2020, was elected as the 47th President of the United States of America on November 5.
Bond added: “Harry and Meghan have been very well behaved on all fronts recently with no public criticism of the Royal Family and no overt political statements before the US election.
“However, it’s obvious that neither will be pleased to see Trump back in the White House.”
“It could be uncomfortable for them living in a country where the President has made some pretty scathing comments about them both.”
